Ceremony with surprice

Yesterday´s evening and night was also devoted to the last preparations of the Grand Opening at Tipsport arena.  The ceremony starts at 7 p.m. with laser show, which will be followed by official part of the program.  The official part will be closed by singer Karel Gott, who will sing the Czech national anthem.

Snow groomers were running all night

Because of heavy snowing during past days, preparations at both venues Vesec and Jested ran all night. Besides the preparations on competition course and jumping hills, it was needed also clean snow from roads and spectator stands. Snow showers continued during the morning and temperature was about -5 degrees.

Czech Lady jumper had to be transported to the hospital

Czech lady ski jumper Lucie Míková did not manage her jump and fell down on landing in official training. Because of pain in her leg she had to be carried away on a stretcher and transported to the hospital. After yesterday´s fall of Natálie Dejmková is Míková the second Czech competitor who did not manage her jump. Natálie Dejmková was not allowed to jump today.

Lukas Bauer is so excited that he cannot sleep

Czech ski team’s press conference took place on Tuesday. Conference was opened by Katerina Neumannova, who handed CDs with the anthem of the Championships to athletes and whished them good luck and good wind.

Natalie will not start

The Czech ski jumper Natálie Dejmková didn’t manage her first training jump on the HS 100. The youngest participator of the championship fell down on the landing. The trainer of Czech women team Jaroslav Sakala will not send this twelve years old competitor to the Friday competition. It is the premier of the women’s jump on this championship.
